Governor J.B. Pritzker is expected to extend the ‘stay-at-home’ order through May 30th, according to sources.

The order was originally set to expire on April 30th.  This extension would see another 30 days tacked onto the order.  Illinois’ first ‘stay-at-home’ went into effect in late March.

The order is expected to require residents to wear face coverings whenever visiting public spaces.

Earlier this month, lawmakers wrote the Governor’s office asking to reopen various businesses, state parks, golf courses and resume elective surgeries.

Illinois’ COVID-19 press conference is scheduled for 2:30 pm today.
