LA GRANGE – An 18-year-old student at the University of Dayton has died of COVID-19 a month after returning home to study remotely.

Michael Lang, 18, of La Grange, died after a lengthy hospital stay.

Lang’s family says Michael was a golfer who enjoyed caddying at La Grange Country Club.  He enjoyed fishing at all sports and was a good friend to all.

The University of Dayton will hold a prayer vigil on campus at the University’s chapel later Saturday evening to honor Lang.  The family will live stream Michael’s funeral at the St. Francis Xavier Church in La Grange this Friday, October 30th at 11 am.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are sent to the American Heart Association
