Kankakee County Health Department is NOT a testing site for COVID-19.

That’s the message local Health Department officials are enforcing this morning, telling people showing symptoms that only hospitals in Illinois are testing people with high-priority indicators for the virus.  There is no dedicated testing site as of writing in Kankakee County.

Those showing symptoms should call their primary health providers first before showing up at any offices to prepare for their arrival.

DO NOT SHOW UP TO HOSPITALS OR YOUR DOCTORS’ OFFICE UNANNOUNCED.  Call ahead to both.
