You can help the abused and neglected children in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties with the purchase of a raffle ticket to win a custom built playhouse! The Playhouse Raffle is a fundraiser to benefit Child Network; the Children’s Advocacy Center and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). All monies raised will be used to provide services at no cost to the child’s family.

Based on the 50s style campers, the “Happy Camper Playhouse” is a colorful and captivating trailer fit for the kid who loves the outdoors. The 6’ x 14’ playhouse was built by Terri Memenga, Director of Public Works for the Village of Bradley. Materials were donated by R.P. Lumber Co. in Bourbonnais and Sherwin Williams in Bradley. Brickstone Brewery donated the use of their trailer.

Don’t have children or grandchildren that would enjoy the playhouse You can be a “Superstar” when you gift the playhouse to a lucky family in your neighborhood, to a local park, church or school. You could even keep it as a garden shed for yourself.

Tickets sell for $10 for 1, $25 for 3 tickets or $50 for 7 tickets. Look for the playhouse and purchase tickets at various community events this summer. Tickets may also be purchased at R.P. Lumber on Rt. 50 in Bourbonnais, Municipal Bank in Bourbonnais, at the Child Network office at 171 N. West Ave., Ste. 1 in Bradley, or online at www.ChildNetwork.org. Tickets will also be sold on the night of the drawing at the National Night Out, a free family event hosted by the Bradley Police Department, on Tuesday, August 6 at Perry Farm in Bradley. The drawing will be held at approximately 7:00 p.m. The winner need not be present and free delivery is offered within Kankakee or Iroquois Counties.

Child Network is a non-profit agency working in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties to improve the response to child sexual and physical abuse and to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the court system. Child Network is an accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance, a member of the Illinois Association of CASA, the National CASA Association, and an agency of the United Way of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties.
