The Chicago Bears announced Monday safety Jordan Lucas has opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. Lucas becomes the second player on the list.

Last week, nose tackle Eddie Goldman became the first Chicago Bear on the list.

Lucas, a special teams contributor, had signed in March as a free agent and had previous stops with Miami and the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2018-2019 season.

There have now been a total of over 40 players to opt out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. The New England Patriots lead all teams with eight players who have opted out of the 2020 season.
