Peoria, IL – A shocking burglary in West Peoria has not only resulted in the loss of valuables but also the heartbreak of a stolen pet. Late last night, intruders broke into a home on the 2000 Block of W. Moss Avenue and abducted Phoenix, a four-month-old mini Goldendoodle. The black puppy, easily identifiable by a pink and teal collar, has sparked a major search effort led by the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities are calling on the community for any information that could lead to Phoenix’s safe recovery. Tips can be submitted through the Sheriff’s App or Crimestoppers. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the critical role that public vigilance and immediate reporting of any sightings or suspicious information play in cases like these.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of the rising issue of pet theft and its devastating impact on families. Pets are not just animals but are loved and cherished as family members. The loss of Phoenix is felt deeply by her family and the community, and there is a collective hope for her safe and swift return. Community members are urged to keep an eye out and help bring Phoenix home.
