Lincoln, IL – As the showers and thunderstorms move eastward today, the people of Central Illinois can look forward to a brief respite with dry conditions expected Tuesday and likely into Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Lincoln forecasts an active weather pattern to persist throughout the week, with a renewed possibility for showers and thunderstorms from Tuesday night through to the end of the week.

Despite the rainfall, temperatures are set to remain pleasant, with today’s highs around 70 degrees, climbing to the mid-70s and even mid-80s from Tuesday through Friday. Residents should enjoy the sunny spells while they last and prepare for a potentially wet end to the week.
