Chicago, IL – Deadly Laundromat Shooting Shocks West Side

Chicago, IL – A peaceful evening turned tragic in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood as police investigate a fatal shooting at a local laundromat. 

According to Chicago Police, the incident occurred Saturday night in the 4800 block of W. Chicago Ave. A male suspect entered the laundromat shortly after 9 p.m., confronting and subsequently shooting a 57-year-old man multiple times. The victim was rushed to West Suburban Hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. 

The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large. Area Four detectives are actively pursuing leads in this ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made yet, leaving the community in search of answers and justice.
