West Peoria, IL – One person was injured after a reported shooting early Sunday morning.
According to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, an incident occurred early Sunday, January 7th, 2024, involving a shooting at KG’s Bar, located at 2702 W. Farmington Rd., West Peoria. The event, reported at about 1:16 a.m., started with a large group engaging in a fight, escalating to shots being fired. Shortly thereafter, a male victim, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, was admitted to a local hospital.
As of now, no suspects have been detained in connection with the shooting. The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about this incident to contact them through CrimeStoppers or their Sheriff’s App.
