Hoffman Estates, IL – The Village of Hoffman Estates is set to commence its annual hydrant flushing program during the week of April 8, aiming to maintain the highest water quality standards. The six-week initiative, as announced by the Village Public Works, will occur between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. to circulate fresh water through the community’s water system.

During this period, residents may notice discolored tap water and are advised to run their water until it is clear before use, particularly before laundry, to avoid staining. Signs will be posted in neighborhoods to inform residents of the specific days for flushing. The Village encourages anyone with inquiries to reach out to Public Works at 847-490-6800 for assistance.
