Orland Park, IL – Former Cop Charged After Bizarre Glitter Bomb Incident

Orland Park, IL – A former Orland Park police sergeant, Ken Kovac, faces charges after an alleged campaign of harassment that included allegations the former Sergeant sending a glitter bomb to Deputy Chief Brian West. 

According to police reports, Kovac, who surrendered to authorities on April 7, 2024, is accused of allegedly creating fake social media profiles impersonating West, including utilizing the deputy chief’s personal photos in misleading posts. Kovac now faces charges including disorderly conduct and false personation.

This arrest follows an investigation that also cleared current Police Chief Eric Rossi and Deputy Chief West of any misconduct from a separate accusation by another ex-sergeant, emphasizing the police department’s adherence to rigorous standards. 

Police remain focused on upholding the integrity and professionalism that defines their service to the community.
