Naperville, IL – Music lovers in Naperville and beyond have a vibrant concert season to look forward to, as the West Suburban Symphony presents an eclectic lineup of performances at Wentz Concert Hall and Cantigny Park.
From the pastoral melodies of Antonin Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 8” to the cinematic sweeps of John Williams, this season promises an auditory feast.
Scheduled to commence on May 19, 2024, the series kicks off with a celebration of classic and contemporary compositions including Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto” and Ulysses Kay’s “Fantasy Variations.” Highlights of the season include a special outdoor concert on June 8, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day with patriotic tunes at Cantigny Park, and a spirited rendition of Bizet’s “Carmen” on June 30.
The series will also feature a “Cinema Classics” concert on August 3, inviting audiences to relive the magic of Hollywood scores. Each event is designed to offer a unique musical experience, showcasing local talents alongside renowned compositions in some of the area’s most scenic venues.
