HIGHLAND, IN – A chilling sight of headlights mysteriously illuminating from a swamp piqued the curiosity of a passerby late Tuesday night.
According to local authorities, the concerned pedestrian called out, only to discover a trapped man inside an off-roaded vehicle. Despite the driver’s initial hesitation to admit distress, the quick-thinking witness dialed 911.
First responders soon arrived on the scene, facing muddy challenges to reach the car. The driver’s significant size presented additional difficulties, prompting authorities to call for backup. Eventually crews managed to utilize a stretcher and ropes, safely extracting the man who was taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
The identity of the driver has not been released at this time. It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash.
