Frankfort, IL – Firearm Discharged at Local Spa, One Person Injured

Frankfort, IL – A person was injured by gunfire at a Frankfort spa early Thursday morning, triggering a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. 

According to Frankfort Police reports the event occurred around 11:15 a.m. at Sybaris Pool Suites, located at 7500 W. Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival, officers found one individual with non-life-threatening injuries, who was subsequently transported to a hospital by another guest. Currently, details about the discharge of the firearm are limited, and authorities are investigating to determine the exact nature of the incident. 

Early reports suggest that this was an isolated event, and police have reassured the community that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The identity of the injured person and the circumstances leading up to the incident have not been disclosed as the investigation remains active.
