Geneva, IL – The Chicago Steel hockey team is set to hit the ice in style, sporting Taylor Swift-themed jerseys in February. The special attire is part of a promotional event titled “Chicago Steel: The Eras Night,” aiming to honor the music icon’s influence.
According to the team’s official press release, this homage to Swift will be showcased during their game on February 17 against the Tri-City Storm. The jerseys are designed to reflect Swift’s Eras Tour merchandise, with a cream base and adorned with images celebrating the Steel’s 24-year legacy. The unique design includes references to Swift’s albums, symbols, and Easter eggs relevant to her career, such as a snake emblem and friendship bracelets patterned after those worn by her fans.
The event will also feature an all-Swift music playlist and special edition Chicago Steel friendship bracelets for sale, with proceeds supporting the Geneva Academic Foundation. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off for charity. The puck is set to drop at 7:05 p.m. CT at Fox Valley Ice Arena, with anticipation high for this one-of-a-kind crossover celebration of sports and pop culture.
