Naperville, IL – Firefighters Battle Extreme Cold, Respond to Over 200 Calls in Three Days

Naperville, IL – Naperville’s Local 4302 firefighters faced a challenging three-day cold stretch this past week, with arctic temperatures and wind chills reaching -40 degrees. 

According to the Naperville Fire Department, the team was called to over 100 medical emergencies, 80+ fire alarms, more than 30 assistance requests, several accidents, gas leaks, and a significant structure fire. The extreme weather conditions did not deter these dedicated professionals, as they continued to provide uninterrupted emergency services to the community. 

The Naperville Fire Department reminds residents to take precautions during extreme cold and to report any emergencies promptly.
