Illinois Man Fleeing Indiana Police Dies in I-80/94 Crash; Duffle Bags of Marijuana Found

LAKE COUNTY, Ind. — A fatal turn of events on I-80/94 on Monday saw Bryan I. Flores, 20, from Round Lake, Illinois, fleeing an Indiana State Police traffic stop only to crash minutes later. 

According to Indiana State Police reports the man’s gray 2012 Kia Optima rear-ended a semi at the 12.8 mile-marker, leading to life-threatening injuries that resulted in his death at an Illinois trauma hospital. 

Deepening the tragedy, investigators reportedly discovered two large duffle bags brimming with marijuana in the vehicle’s trunk. The semi driver emerged unscathed.
