Watseka, IL – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has announced that the rail crossing at U.S. 24/Illinois 1, also known as Walnut Street, will undergo significant repairs starting Monday, April 22.

The closure is expected to impact traffic flow for five days, prompting the need for rerouted travel via Illinois 1 and U.S. 52. Commuters are advised to plan for delays and follow the posted detour plans.
