Kankakee Crash: 3 Injured in I-57 Accident, Causes 90-Minute Shutdown

KANKAKEE, Ill. – Three individuals were rushed to the hospital Friday morning after a car accident on I-57. 

Fortunately, none of the injuries sustained were life-threatening. The Illinois State Police reported the crash happened in the southbound lanes near Exit 312, just outside of Kankakee. 

This incident prompted a 90-minute shutdown of the southbound side, as authorities conducted their investigation and cleanup. As of now, further details about the accident remain undisclosed.
