Kendall County, IL – Fugitive Captured by U.S. Marshals, Local Authorities

Montgomery, IL – In a coordinated effort, the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, along with deputies from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, successfully apprehended 27-year-old Donzell Washington in Montgomery, Illinois. 

Washington was wanted on multiple charges, including aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Washington was arrested on April 16, 2024, without any complications. He faces charges stemming from two counts of domestic battery, one count of aggravated battery, unlawful use of a weapon, assault, and criminal damage to property. Following his arrest, Washington was booked into Kendall County jail, awaiting a pre-trial conditions hearing.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to utilize their Crime Stoppers line and participate in the “Fugitive Fridays” initiative on their Facebook page to aid in locating fugitives. They also remind the community that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
