Kankakee Man Charged with Sexual Crimes Against a Child in Livingston County

FAIRBURY, Ill. – On Friday, a joint operation by Fairbury Police and Chatsworth Police, under the CHAOS Task Force, led to the arrest of a Kankakee man, Charles C. Mccray, 46, for alleged sexual crimes against a child. 

Investigations reveal Mccray made arrangements to meet the victim, a minor and under the age of 15, in Chatsworth for illicit purposes. Assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, officers apprehended Mccray in a residential area of Chatsworth. 

He now faces charges of Indecent solicitation of a child and Traveling to meet a child.
