Illinois — In a recent breakthrough, two of the hundreds of hostages held in Gaza, American mother and daughter, Judith and Natalie Raanan of Evanston, Illinois, have been released.

The pair, reportedly released for ‘humanitarian reasons’ were in the region celebrating their grandmother’s 85th birthday when they were abducted. Judith has been reported as in poor health following their abduction into Gaza.

While the circumstances surrounding their release remain unclear, sources indicate the pair are now in the hands of the Red Cross. The struggle continues for the safe return of the remaining hostages.
