North Carolina Man Arrested in Bradley After Credit Card Issue Leads to Knife Threat

BRADLEY, IL — A North Carolina man was arrested in Bradley, Illinois, following a confrontation that began with a declined credit card. 

Sharrone Brayboy, 41, of Maxton, North Carolina, reportedly tried to make a purchase at a business on the 50 block of Ken Hayes Drive. Upon his credit card being declined, Brayboy left but returned allegedly wielding a large hunting knife attempting to retrieve the card before leaving without it. 

Police located Brayboy shortly afterward at a local hotel, leading to his arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
