Peoria Honors Veterans: American Legion Post 2 to Host Annual Parade Saturday

Peoria, IL – The Peoria American Legion Post 2 is set to host its annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 11, 2023. 

The community event, celebrating and honoring military veterans, will commence at 10:00 a.m. The parade route begins at Kumpf and Monroe, heading north to Main Street, and concluding at the WW II Memorial at the Courthouse Plaza after turning onto Adams Street. 

A memorial ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. Key intersections along the route, including Monroe & Kumpf, and Main & Adams, will be impacted from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Local authorities advise those traveling in the downtown area to allow extra time and exercise caution due to increased pedestrian activity.
