Peoria, IL – A head-on collision late Saturday night in Peoria has tragically resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to another driver.
According to Peoria police reports it began around about 11:38 p.m. on Saturday when Police were called to the scene at the 8400 block of N. Orange Prairie Road, where they discovered the two involved vehicles.
The female driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. The Peoria County Coroner will release the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
Peoria Police Department’s Traffic and Patrol Units are conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash, which has yet to lead to any arrests.
