Springfield, IL – Residents across Central Illinois are gearing up for a cool and sunny weekend with the National Weather Service confirming a continued stretch of dry and cool weather. While the sunny days might be a welcome change, the dip in temperatures is forecasted to bring patchy frost overnight, particularly concerning for gardeners and farmers.

Frost advisories are likely, and locals are advised to protect sensitive vegetation. The NWS has also indicated a chance of rain returning Monday night through Tuesday, urging the community to enjoy the outdoors while conditions remain clear.
