Northern Illinois Bar Scene of Gunfire Amid Large Crowd Sunday Morning

Freeport, IL – Shots were fired at a northern Illinois bar early Sunday morning, drawing a rapid response from local police. 

According to Freeport police reports the incident, which unfolded at around 12:32 AM at Benchwarmers located at 2143 W. Galena Avenue, saw officers arriving to a chaotic scene with a large crowd exiting the establishment and the parking lot. While multiple firearms were reportedly used, there have been no injuries linked to the event.
