Danville Police Arrest Three, Seize Guns and Drugs in Robinson Street Raid

Danville, IL – Three men were arrested following a search warrant executed on Robinson Street Thursday evening.

According to the Danville Police Department, officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to reports of shots fired. With assistance from Vermilion County Sheriff’s Deputies, the investigation led to a search warrant for a residence in the area. The search uncovered over 500 grams of suspected cannabis, 8 firearms, and multiple rounds of ammunition.

Jonathan Portugal, 20, Juan Portugal, 19, and Christian Torres, 24, were arrested on charges of Armed Violence, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Delivery of Cannabis. Torres faces an additional charge of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
