Will County Man Faces Vehicular Homicide Charges After Fatal Crash Kills Two

Joliet, IL – A Crest Hill resident, 19-year-old Jacoby Hamilton, has been charged with multiple counts of vehicular homicide following a catastrophic collision in Joliet that resulted in the deaths of two local individuals. 

The fatal incident, which occurred in the early hours of February 18, led to the arrest of Hamilton this Thursday.

Authorities from the Joliet Police Department concluded their investigation, which started immediately after the crash, by determining Hamilton had run a red light, leading to the tragic accident that killed 65-year-old Walter Kretzler and 59-year-old Roxane Holt. Hamilton is currently held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Joliet Police Chief Bill Evans expressed deep sympathy for the victims’ families and highlighted the persistent efforts of law enforcement to investigate and resolve the case.
