CHICAGO – A freak gust of wind took center stage at O’Hare International Airport Thursday, causing two planes to collide with a rogue baggage cart on the taxiway.

Both American Airlines flight 2784 and SkyWest flight 5433, operating as United Express, encountered the detached cart. Fortunately, no injuries were reported on either flight.

American Airlines promptly removed its Airbus 319 from service for inspection, while SkyWest passengers were shuttled to the terminal. While the airlines addressed the mishap, it remains unclear if O’Hare’s flight schedule faced any disruptions due to the wind-driven chaos.
