Greenfield, IN – Semi Driver Killed in Interstate 70 Crash Involving Camaro

Greenfield, IN – A serious crash on Interstate 70 near the State Road 9 overpass resulted in the death of a semi driver early Friday morning. The collision, which involved a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro and a 2020 International semi tractor, called for a full-scale response from the Hancock County Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT).

According to officials, the incident occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. and led to the prolonged closure of the interstate for investigation and cleanup. The driver of the Camaro, identified as Daniel Tauber, was unharmed and fully cooperated with authorities. The identity of the deceased Indiana-resident semi driver is withheld until next of kin is notified. 

No substances are suspected to have contributed to the crash, and further details will be released following the ongoing investigation by FACT and other responding agencies.
