Lansing, IL – A bank robbery attempt at Chase Bank on Torrence Avenue was foiled by local law enforcement on April 4. Police officers responded rapidly to the robbery report at 11:05 am and managed to locate the suspect’s vehicle as it fled the scene.

Despite losing sight of the vehicle on the expressway due to heavy traffic, collaboration through several communication programs enabled the capture of the suspect in Gary, Indiana. The FBI Chicago Field Office has taken over the investigation, confirming the absence of weapons and injuries during the crime. The quick resolution of the case was made possible by the swift response of the Lansing Police and the assistance from neighboring agencies.
