Indiana Deputy Killed by Downed Power Lines Following Response to Vehicle Crash

Plainfield, IN – The Hendricks County law enforcement community is in mourning after the loss of Deputy Fred Fislar, who was killed overnight in a tragic incident involving downed power lines subsequent to a motor vehicle accident. The deputy was responding to the crash near Plainfield when he came into contact with the energized lines.

The Sheriff’s Office announced that Deputy Fislar was rushed to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. The office is now focusing on providing support to its staff and Deputy Fislar’s family during this difficult period and invites the community to remember their fallen officer.
