Rensselaer, IN – Woman Allegedly Breaks Window, Commits Battery with Minors Present

Rensselaer, IN – A Rensselaer neighborhood was the scene of an alleged violent entry and battery, as 33-year-old Jessie Brown is accused of allegedly breaking a window with a shovel and entering a residence, where she reportedly then struck an individual inside at the time. 

According to the Rensselaer Police Department, it happened on March 17 just before 6 PM in the 400 block of East Walnut where an altercation unfolded while three children under the age of sixteen were inside, heightening the severity of the charges. 

Brown faces felony charges for residential entry and domestic battery in the presence of minors, in addition to a misdemeanor for criminal mischief. Her custody and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty are affirmed.
