SCHERERVILLE, IN – In a bone-chilling turn of events, an audacious individual was caught on camera attempting a heist in the Casa Bella subdivision. As Halloween spirits rise, so do misdeeds.
Early Sunday morning, a man was spotted just after 2:30 a.m. trying to apparently kidnap a decorative skeleton. But this isn’t your average bag of bones; the skeleton stood firm, refusing to be taken. Thwarted, the vandal then decided to damage it.
Schererville Police Department urges residents with any information or additional surveillance footage to reach out at 219-322-5000 ext. 2350. Keep a close watch, and if you spot suspicious activities, dial 9-1-1.
