Michigan City, IN – In a disturbing daylight confrontation, a man from LaPorte met a tragic end after being shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Michigan City Advanced Auto Parts. The grave incident took place shortly before 1 PM on Monday, casting a shadow over the area.

Emergency responders found 27-year-old Dylan Anderson with severe gunshot wounds, rushing him to Franciscan Health Michigan City Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In the swift aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement identified Gavin Mohamed of Michigan City as the alleged perpetrator. A judge has set a formidable $1 million cash-only bond for Mohamed, with his first court appearance scheduled for April 16th. The Michigan City Police Department is now appealing to the public for witnesses to come forward, seeking any information that could shed light on this shocking event and aid in their ongoing investigation.
