Newton County, IN – Quick Response by Local Firefighters Contains Garage Blaze

Goodland, IN – A structure fire in Goodland, Indiana, on Sunday, led to the extensive damage of a local building. According to the Goodland Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was reported at 11:36 am and involved a garage engulfed in flames. 

Firefighting teams were promptly dispatched to the site, where they managed to extinguish the fire and secure the area. Photos posted on the department’s social media show the aftermath of the incident, with the building’s interior charred and the roof collapsed. 

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The department’s quick action prevented further damage and ensured the safety of surrounding structures. No injuries have been reported in connection with the fire.
