Two Suspects Elude Capture in Chesterton After Police Chase

Chesterton, IN – Two suspects remain at large following a high-speed pursuit initiated by LaPorte County Sheriff’s deputies. 

According to reports the incident began late Sunday, Nov. 19, when deputies pursued a vehicle westbound on I-94. The chase continued onto southbound Ind. 49, ending with the suspects fleeing on foot into the woods near North Calumet Road. Despite extensive search efforts involving multiple law enforcement agencies, K-9 units, and drone surveillance, the suspects have not been located. 

The suspects have been described as black males, dressed in all-black clothing with bright-colored shoes. Authorities urge anyone with information or surveillance footage to contact the Chesterton Police Department at 219-926-1136. The reason for the initial pursuit remains unclear.
