Quad Cities, IL/IA – Quad Cities residents are set to experience a gamut of weather conditions this week, starting with mild temperatures and breezy winds today, according to the National Weather Service Quad Cities.

The winds could reach up to 40 mph, especially west of the Mississippi River, prompting advisories to secure outdoor items and exercise caution while driving high-profile vehicles. The mild conditions will give way to showers and potential thunderstorms tonight into Tuesday, followed by a mid-week cooldown.

The weather pendulum will swing back towards the end of the week with a warm-up and increased moisture that could fuel strong thunderstorms by Friday. Community members are advised to stay updated on the latest forecasts and prepare for sudden weather changes.
