Blaze Claims Life of Michigan Family’s Service Dog

AUGUSTA, MI – A house fire on North Chestnut Street drew attention from five local fire departments, including Ross-Augusta, Galesburg, Richland, Bedford, and Battle Creek Veterans Affairs, Monday evening. 

After returning from dinner, a local family was horrified to discover their home filled with smoke. Though no family members were injured, they tragically lost their service dog in the fire. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No further details about the incident have been released.
