CHICAGO – In an ambitious step towards ensuring the safety of our furry family members, Amazon-owned Ring introduces its latest innovation: “Pet Tag.”

Understanding the anguish pet owners face when their beloved animals go missing, Ring, known primarily for its home security solutions, is expanding its pet-centric services.

Following the success of their Lost Pet Post feature, which saw over 250,000 Ring users rally together to help find their pets, Ring’s new Pet Tag offers an immediate alert system. Designed to attach effortlessly to pet collars, this accessory features a distinct QR code. When scanned, it not only notifies the pet owner but also provides the scanner access to the pet’s vital information, ensuring immediate care if needed. Importantly, this service prioritizes privacy, making sure pet owners’ personal details remain confidential.

Available for pre-order on Ring.com and Amazon.com at $9.99, the Pet Tag will start shipping on October 4. Although it lacks GPS tracking, its seamless integration with the Ring App positions it as an indispensable asset for pet owners.
