Ann Arbor, MI – Teen Killed in Fatal Crash on Jackson Avenue

Ann Arbor, MI – A fatal crash early Sunday on Jackson Avenue resulted in the death of an 18-year-old from Taylor and serious injuries to a 19-year-old from Detroit.

According to the Ann Arbor Police Department, officers responded at approximately 4:50 a.m. and found the vehicle had struck multiple trees after leaving the road near Gralake Avenue. The driver, a 19-year-old from Ecorse, suffered minor injuries and was taken to UM Hospital.

Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash. The driver will be lodged at Washtenaw County Jail upon his release from the hospital. AAPD was assisted at the scene by AAFD and HVA.
