Jonesboro, AR – A multi-agency task force led by the Arkansas State Police conducted Operation HART, identifying 35 individuals in Jonesboro as victims of human trafficking. The operation, which unfolded earlier this month, was a concerted effort to provide support and disrupt trafficking networks.

According to official reports, the recovery operation united various organizations and law enforcement agencies to offer services including immediate necessities and long-term assistance. The collaborative approach ensured the provision of food, shelter, medical care, counseling, and addiction treatment to the victims. Colonel Mike Hagar of the Arkansas State Police highlighted the ongoing mission to combat human trafficking and the dedication to treating victims with the utmost care and respect.

The recent operation adds to the efforts of Arkansas authorities in tackling the human trafficking crisis, with previous operations also resulting in victim recovery and the apprehension of suspects. The investigation remains active, and the authorities encourage the public to report any information related to human trafficking to the appropriate channels.
