Aurora, IL – Early Sunday Shooting: Police Seek Leads on 18-Year-Old Victim

Aurora, IL – Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday. 

According to police reports, officers responding to the scene, reported screams in an alley on the 700 block of E. New York Street around 2:19 AM, before finding an 18-year-old male with gunshot wounds in a parked car. The victim, swiftly transported to a hospital by Aurora Fire Department paramedics, is in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.

The Investigations Bureau of the Aurora Police Department, alongside Evidence Technicians, is actively seeking leads to understand the events leading to this violent occurrence. The community is urged to come forward with any information.
