MORRIS, IL – A high-speed chase on I-55 involving suspects connected to a Bloomington aggravated battery case culminated in the arrest of three individuals and a lockdown of Braidwood schools.

Grundy County Sheriff’s Office detailed the apprehension of Robyn Howard, 26, Armani Perkins, 25, and Sheante Mallett, 20. While Howard and Perkins were detained promptly, Mallett fled into the woods. The ensuing search led to her discovery in a cornfield, nearly a mile away.

With the situation contained and Mallett in custody, the precautionary school lockdown was lifted, ensuring the safety of Braidwood’s students and staff.
