Berwyn, IL – Traffic Alert: Stuck BNSF Railway Gates Cause Disruption

Berwyn, IL – Berwyn Police Department reports that a mechanical issue has resulted in the BNSF railway gates getting stuck at all crossings east of Oak Park Avenue in Berwyn as of Wednesday. BNSF engineers are on the scene, striving to fix the issue promptly. 

Crossings at Grove Avenue, Home Avenue, and Harlem Avenue remain open, allowing some traffic flow. The Berwyn Police Department is providing ongoing updates and advises commuters to consider alternative routes to avoid potential traffic delays.
