Bourbonnais, IL – Culver’s of Bourbonnais is uniting basketball fans and community members in a fundraiser to support the family of Amari Crite, a Momence High School freshman basketball player whose sudden death last month has deeply impacted the local community.
The event, set for February 25th, not only marks the one-month anniversary of Amari’s sudden passing but also serves as a beacon of community support.
Amari Crite, described as an enthusiastic and active student, collapsed unexpectedly during a basketball warm-up session on January 25th and tragically passed away. The incident has left her family, friends, and the entire Momence community in mourning. In response to this heartbreaking event, Culver’s will donate 25% of the entire day’s sales to the Crite family, offering a gesture of solidarity and remembrance.
This act of kindness is part of Culver’s “Give Local” initiative, emphasizing the importance of community support in times of sorrow. The fundraiser aims not only to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family but also to honor Amari’s memory, celebrating her life and the joy she brought to the game of basketball and her community.
