Brookfield, IL – Brookfield Zoo Chicago is set to host its “Party for the Planet” recycling drive on April 20, rallying the community for a sustainable cause.

According to the Zoo’s Facebook announcement, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants will be encouraged to bring electronics, textiles, and books to the North parking lot. The upcoming event follows last year’s successful drive where 11,200 lbs of books, 6,775 lbs of electronics, and 5,207 lbs of textiles were collected.

This year, the Zoo continues its efforts to promote recycling and environmental stewardship, with Nicor Gas as the presenting sponsor for the drive.
