Carroll County, IL – Illinois Route 78 Crash Sends Woman, Four Children to Hospital

Carroll County, IL – A Thomson family met with tragedy on Illinois Route 78 when their vehicle struck a tree, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. 

According to police reports, the Wednesday afternoon incident involved a woman, Kristin M. Doleislager, 36, and four children. Emergency services from Mt. Carroll and surrounding areas responded promptly. 

All five were transported to Morrison Community Hospital, with two children later airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford for serious injuries. 

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
