Central Illinois: Scattered Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms Expected

Springfield, IL – Scattered showers are expected to move across portions of central Illinois this morning, with isolated thunderstorms predicted for the afternoon and evening.

According to the US National Weather Service Central Illinois, these weather patterns are ahead of a cold front. Once the front passes, dry weather and mild temperatures are anticipated to dominate into next week. High temperatures today are expected to range from the mid-70s to the low 80s. The probability of precipitation varies throughout the day, peaking in the early afternoon.
